Quesabirria Tacos

Mexican street food called quesabirria tacos is tasty and savory. The beef inside these tacos is tender and flavorful, and the cheese is melted. They are great for dipping in the rich beef cooking juices.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs beef stew meat
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cheese e

  • , Oaxaca or Monterey Jack
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • Lime wedges for garnish

Instructions:

Put beef stew meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, bay leaves, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper in a large pot

Put in the beef broth and bring the pot to a low heat

Put the lid on top and cook on low heat for two to three hours, or until the beef is soft and easy to shred

Take the beef out of the pot and use two forks to shred it

Set the pan on medium-high heat and add a little vegetable oil

Put each corn tortilla in the hot pan and dip it into the beef cooking juices

Let it soak for a moment

Each tortilla should have some shredded beef and shredded cheese added to it

Its time to make tacos Fold the tortilla in half and cook it until both sides are golden and crispy

Cheese and onion tacos should be served with lime wedges, chopped cilantro, and onion dices on the side
