This easy baked teriyaki chicken recipe is a flavorful and simple dish thats perfect for a weeknight dinner. The chicken is marinated in a homemade teriyaki sauce, then baked until tender and juicy. Serve it with rice and steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish
Instructions:
Warm the oven up to 190C 375F
Put teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger in a small saucepan
Over medium-low heat, bring to a boil
Add water and cornstarch to a small bowl
Stir until the mixture is smooth
Add the mix to the pan and cook for about two minutes, until it gets thick
In a baking dish, put chicken breasts
Make sure the chicken is covered evenly with the teriyaki sauce
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked
Use the sauce to baste the chicken every now and then
Put sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top when its done and serve
